The Beam Sniper replaces the Rackworm's standard Grom Railgun with a Vort-built high-power radiation beamer. Invisible to the naked eye, the pin-focused beam can cut across swaths of space with surgical accuracy. In the right hands, the Beam Sniper can disable any vessel with minimal structural damage and crew intact, making it popular with ship-rollers and hostage-takers. Despite the weapon swap, the Rackworm retains its much-lauded shielding and maneuverability. Concessions are made, however, in its profile. The slim silhouette is hampered by the large solar array that powers the beam, known to turn into a glimmering beacon with the right angle of light. Finding one with its solar array still intact is becoming increasingly rare. Rarer still are pilots with the skill to wield this ultra-specced craft to its utmost. The veterans continue to fade and with them, their craft.
